Hometown Haul is a local pickup and delivery service operated by Silicon Prairie Venture Services LLC in Ravenna, Nebraska. “We” and “our” mean Hometown Haul. “You” means the person placing an order. Reach us at hometownhaul@siliconprairie.ventures.
We are a courier. You shop. You buy. We drive.
You place and pay for your own order directly with a store. You authorize us to pick it up on your behalf. We collect it and bring it to your door in Ravenna. You pay us a separate fee for that trip.
We are not a store, a shopper, or a reseller. We never buy your goods, never own them, and never charge you for them. We do not choose your items, compare prices, or make substitutions. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent of Walmart, Target, Hy‑Vee, Home Depot, Menards, Sam’s Club, Tractor Supply, Petco, CVS, or any other retailer. Store names are used only to identify where your order is waiting.
We deliver along US Highway 2 between Grand Island and Ravenna, Nebraska. If your address falls outside that corridor, we may not be able to serve you.
We deliver on published service days only, listed on our website roughly two weeks ahead. Days depend on our schedule and may change.
Fresh Service — delivered in a stated evening window. Refrigerated items, frozen items, and prescriptions allowed. Someone must be home.
Standard Service — delivered to your door by end of day, possibly late evening. Shelf‑stable items only; no refrigerated or frozen items and no prescriptions. You need not be home.
If any of these are missing or incorrect, we may be unable to complete your delivery. See Section 8.
Our fee is $20 per store, regardless of how much you buy, so long as your order fits in our vehicle and can be safely handled by one person. Oversized, unusually heavy, or hazardous items may be refused. An order from a second store is a separate order and a separate $20 fee. Our fee covers transportation only, not the cost of your goods.
Payment is due when you book. We use Stripe to process card payments and never see or store your full card number.
Orders cannot be cancelled. If you cancel, or if your order is not prepared according to Section 5, your $20 remains on your account as credit toward your next delivery. Credit never expires. We do not issue refunds. If you have credit and want to use it, tell us when you book and we will not charge you again.
If we arrive and your order is not ready, cannot be found, or the store will not release it to us, we cannot complete that delivery. We will let you know, and your $20 stays as credit toward your next delivery. We make a good‑faith effort on every order but cannot guarantee a store will have it ready or release it to us.
We collect what the store hands us. We do not open, inspect, count, or verify the contents of your order.
Anything wrong with your goods is between you and the store, under that store’s return policy — including unwanted substitutions, missing or wrong items, expired items, and damage occurring before we received them. We will gladly tell you what we observed and provide our pickup photo, but cannot refund, replace, or credit you for the goods themselves. If we visibly damage your goods while in our care, contact us and we will make it right.
Available on Fresh Service days only. You must add us to your pharmacy’s records as a person authorized to pick up on your behalf — that is between you and your pharmacy, and typically needs doing only once. We present photo identification at the counter.
We do not ask what your medication is, and we do not want to know. We do not open or inspect your prescription beyond transporting the sealed bag the pharmacy gives us.
Prescriptions are handed to a person. We never leave a prescription at a door, in a vehicle, or with a neighbor. If nobody can receive it, we will contact you and return it or reschedule, and your $20 becomes credit. A pharmacist may decline to release a prescription at their discretion; if that happens, Section 8 applies.
Standard Service deliveries are left at your door or wherever your delivery notes direct us, with a photo as proof. Once we have left your order at the agreed location, it is yours, and we are not responsible for loss, theft, weather damage, or animals. Please tell us about a covered spot if you have one.
Fresh Service deliveries are handed to you. If nobody is home we cannot leave refrigerated, frozen, or prescription items; we will contact you, and if we cannot reach you, Section 8 applies.
We may delay or cancel service for weather, road conditions, vehicle trouble, illness, or anything else outside our reasonable control; your $20 becomes credit. We give estimated windows, not guarantees.
Email is our official channel — confirmations, instructions, and delivery updates all go there, so please give us an address you check. If you check the permission box, we may also text you about your delivery. Stop any time by replying STOP. Standard message and data rates may apply.
To the fullest extent Nebraska law allows: our total responsibility for any order is limited to the $20 fee you paid us for that order. We are not responsible for the cost of your goods, lost time, spoiled food beyond our control, missed events, or other indirect or consequential losses. We provide this service on a good‑faith, best‑effort basis without warranties of any kind. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Please don’t ask us to do anything unlawful, to misrepresent who we are to a store or pharmacy, or to obtain goods for someone who cannot lawfully receive them. We may decline any order, or stop serving anyone, at our discretion.
We may update these terms. The version posted when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Buffalo County, Nebraska.

The short version. We collect the few things we need to bring your order to your door, and nothing else. We have never sold customer information and we never will. We don’t run ads, we don’t track you around the internet, and we never ask what your medication is.
Hometown Haul is operated by Silicon Prairie Venture Services LLC in Ravenna, Nebraska. Questions about your information: hometownhaul@siliconprairie.ventures.
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|

We photograph your order when we collect it and again at your door. These protect both of us if something is damaged or a delivery is questioned, and may show your porch or doorway. We keep them [90 DAYS], then delete them. We never publish them, and share them only with you, or with a store while resolving a problem with your order.

Each has its own privacy policy. Like any email service, our email provider stores and transmits the messages we exchange with you; we don’t send them your information for any separate purpose. We will also disclose information if legally required — a court order, subpoena, or genuine safety emergency.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information for anyone else’s marketing. Not now, and not as a future business model.
Texts are optional and off unless you check the box. To stop, reply STOP or email us — your confirmations will still come by email. We never use your number for marketing or give it to anyone for marketing.
Want it deleted sooner? Email us and we will, except where tax records must be kept.
Your information lives in password‑protected accounts with two‑factor authentication where offered. We limit who can see it — realistically, the person driving your order. We don’t keep paper copies of your address beyond delivery day, and we shred printed route sheets. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold nothing a thief would want: no card numbers, no medical records, no Social Security numbers.
Email hometownhaul@siliconprairie.ventures any time to see what we have, correct it, delete it, stop texts, or ask a question. We’ll respond within [30 DAYS]. You don’t need to cite a law to ask — just ask.
This service is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
We’ll update the date above and post the new version here. If a change is significant, we’ll say so by email.
